Mistake #4: Ignoring the LLM Citation Architecture Problem

This is the newest and least understood failure mode in AI marketing stacks, and it will become one of the most expensive mistakes of 2026 and 2027. As AI-powered answer engines, including Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude, increasingly answer commercial queries directly in the interface without driving clicks to websites, the game has changed for content marketers.
